SAITA PAKISTAN COMPANY’S HSE & CR POLICY
SAITA HSE & CR policy is part of the SAITA corporate health, safety, environment and security policy, which states as follows; -
SAITA undertakes to give priority to health, safety protection of environment and security when carrying out activities and to insist on the same policy from its sub contractors.
Quality productivity can only be guaranteed if these principles are adhering to. To this end SAITA undertakes to:-
Promote its conviction that all accidents can be avoided.
Train its personnel in health, safety, protection of the environment and security before and during all types of activity.
Insist on personnel protective equipment (PPE) being worn systematically.
Develop in association with the proper authorities, emergency or evacuation procedures to minimize the consequences of accident.
Conduct research to establish procedures, which improve health, safety and protection of environment and security have activity sites checked regularly by management and the HSES department.
Define practical means for taking into account and minimizing the impact of our activity on the environment.
Incorporate these principals into the responsibilities of its management.
By applying these principles, we aim to improve our working conditions.
Ensure better services for our clients contribute too profitably.
Community Relations
SAITA PAKISTAN (PTE.) LTD., realizing its social responsibility always encourages positive involvement / participation of local communities in all the trades in which they are able to perform to the satisfaction of the client. We train our staff to maintain peaceful and good relations with communities living around the project area. We always strive for enhancing quality of life of people of local communities by preferring the locals while hiring manpower, equipments, processing materials etc., which are available with the local community. We also train our staff to avoid causing damage to the environment and properties of the communities.
We also encourage and hire those young locals who wish to obtain training on various skills that are performed at project. This results in capacity building of the locals and on our next projects, they become our assets.
We maintain excellent Community Relation Management through our dedication Community Relation Officer, who is responsible of handling day to day affairs that involves communities. The Community Relation Officer works as per the guidelines set out by the Client and in close coordination with client’s field community relation’s personnel. The Community Relation Officer is also responsible to provide all the reports concerning communities to the client’s representative as per the approved formats of the client. |
